Since 1996, PASS has been divided into three components. All of
these components work together to build a cohesive community for
current students to be a part of and prospective students of all
ages to explore. One of these components is the Retention component.
PASS provides various services to ensure the success of students
in UC Berkeley. By providing academic resources and social services,
we aim for the students to have a fulfilling and rewarding college
experience. The Retention component of PASS consists of four positions.
These positions include: Assistant
Director of Retention, Student Affairs
Advisor, PASOC Facilitator, and
Gender & Sexuality Awareness Coordinator.
The programs and services offered through PASS Retention all aim
to build a community of conscious, academically, politically,
and socially retained individuals at UC Berkeley
Want a great way to meet people, develop
your networking skills, learn about campus resources and Pilipino
culture? Then this two unit class is a great chance! This class
will be offered in the fall semester.

Biyuti is one of PASS's newer programs. The program was started
to respond to the growth of the sexual minority within the Pilipino-Cal
community. Thus, we seek to create a space without gender or
sexuality borders. Our hopes are to create a strong family environment
amongst its membership. As a family, we will have discussions
by upholding confidentially, open, and safe attitudes. We seek
to retain Pilipinos in the Berkeley community who identify as
gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, queer, or questioning.
Finally, we can not forget to have exciting and memorable experiences
with each other through outings, mixers, and retreats.
Check back with us soon to find out more about Biyuti!

In collaboration with the other professional Pilipino organizations
at Cal (P4, PASAE, PAHC and PAA), Pathways is an event intended
for incoming freshmen to discover the different majors offered
by UC Berkeley. Upperclassmen from different disciplines hold
workshops to help freshmen map out a four-year plan while at
Cal and give them an idea of how to plan a graduation in the
desired time period.

with Pathways!
