Yep, we know college is expensive. But think of it as an investment
in yourself and your education. There are plenty of resources
and options that can help you out:
The FAFSA is used by all public universities
and most private colleges and universities in California to determine
the amount of aid for which a student is eligible. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov
for more information.
Eligibility for federal, state, and
University grants is based on family financial circumstances and
the cost of attendance. It is money that does not have to be repaid.
Money awarded to students with unique
characteristics and circumstances.
Students who qualify for financial
aid also may be eligible for work-study employment. You work on
campus and have flexible hours.
Borrow money now, and pay after
you graduate. There are two kinds of loans. Subsidized loans don't
accumulate interest while you are in college and unsubsidized
loans do. Try to get subsidized loans if you can.
